I don't think it's third parties' fault, Nippon Ichi games, for example, sell well on PSP.

I know, but it's the job of third parties to try and get this reluctant Japanese userbase to buy their games. That's what I meant by that.

And for comparison, the PS2 Phantom Brave did well over 100k first week.

PSP: 45,000 / 11,692,000
NDS: 43,500 / 26,005,000
PS3: 28,000 / 2,966,000
Wii: 19,000 / 7,915,000
360: 7,400 / 992,622*
PS2: 5,200 / 21,628,000

Race to the next million:

X360: 7.4k from 1m
PS3: 34k from 3m
Wii: 85k from 8m

*Note that X360's last week's number was rounded off to 1,000, and this week's rounded off to 100, so there's a margin of error of 550, possibly enough to affect whether it passes 1m in next week's chart.

Damn, the 360 really went down.

In the next few weeks and months, we will see if MS wants to keep pursuing Japan like they did, or if they will call it good at a million and not care anymore for this generation. We will see.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Conservatives:  Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.

ps3 tops the chart yet again.

Do you mean PSP?  PS3 is ticking up some, but handhelds are king.

Anyway, it is good.  Many people were predicting Sony would be out of the picture by 2009 in Japan with complete and utter Nintendomination.  However, Sony is putting up a good fight in a territory that was "rightfully" Nintendo's,

I was referring to software. However, you gotta admit that the ps3 doesn't look bad at all if one sequesters Japan.
