It's been mentioned in some other threads that IOI has been busy this week taking care of other business. There will probably be a double update next week. If you add the AdBlock extension to your firefox then you will stop getting the issues.

As chuckd mentioned there are 7 scripts trying to run on this page. That's one of the highest I've seen on a site. The VGChartz script is allowed. The 6 others are marked as Untrusted by the NoScript firefox extension.

JustinUK: Most of those scripts are adverts though. FF + Noscript + Adblock + Not Windows (so scripts don't know where to look) = Safest

I'm using avira, and it catches an exploit sometimes on the front page. Something like heuristic.html or something like that. But I deny access heh

 As users of the site... should we have to put up with such nonsense?  IOI needs to get help on the back end side to stop these things from happening.  This is a huge joke...  how can this site be taken serious when it's security systems suck so bad?  I come here all the time...  I participate gladly and sadly the site's issue's are becomming an issue for it's further success and growth.

I usually use FF and have no issues. I just tried ie7 and it tried to load something but I have it blocked, then my antivirus went off as well. hmm. ioi need to check this or im going to start banning this site and quit inviting people to check it out.

I bet all of the firefox fanboys from the "switch to firefox" thread put the virus on there so they can say "SEE, IE is less secure! It's getting viruses from this site! FF DOESNT!" Haha, it got me to switch...

I think you mean to say, as users of an outdated Operating System of which the creators couldn't care less about your personal privacy let alone your OS's security? Ditch Windows and install Linux because it is the best thing you can do for yourself.

I'm using plain old Firefox with absolutely no plugins currently.

I've never had these problems at all...just a small ad popup every other day or so...which isn't a problem.
