and they returned with a game that 4 people can play.

 the only way for them to return was embracing nintendo vision(aka difference) on games.

 

that's the reason why j-rpg are old gen.

nintendians now(also the old ones) forgot these kind of games...

(i'm speaking of 100% nintendian,not nintendian+ff...those are 50%nintendians there is only a place to play FF games...and it's a nintendo console...old ones know what i mean)

do exactly what they are doing, and that is make games for all consoles. I do think that if they knew PS3 would have done this bad they would not have made FF13 on PS3. They're making games for PSP and DS, PS3, Wii, and a little on 360 and i think that is how it should be.

well the switch to sony did give them there best selling gmae every and it did give them everything they needed. and ff help nintendo alot also. but saying square owes nintendo is like saying all  capcon and take 2. because sony picked them up and if it were not for sony there wouldn't be a gta or games like devilmaycry. also microsoft should thank sony because sony was a threat to there pc game thats why they made the xbox so if it was not for sony there would be no xbox or 360 so that means no halo.

They don't owe Nintendo ANYTHING, if you mean that they should increase support because Nintendo is doing so well and they are dominating Japan then i agree with you, but not because they owe Nintendo. For all we know they could be making all their new projects for Wii after seeing how well it has done, but we won't know about the games they started making since launch for a while.

Yes the best way to make money is on the wii, but then what will they accomplish? I'd say if its on the ps3 it would make almost the same amount of money as the wii version would in its lifetime. Simplay because FF fans will buy a $399.99 PS3 for those FF games. Same goes with KH.

Nintendo treated 3rd parties like crap back in the day, Square owes them nothing because of that. No matter how close to BK they were, still doesnt excuse Nintendos policies back then. Nintendo deserved the ass kicking they got when Sony came on the scene and showed the industry how important 3rd parties were to a consoles success by treating them fairly. Now Nintendo is a better company because of it.

1. You're a sorcerer? Is that why Ref Steel, Elebits, Rayman, etc. outsold all the PS3 T-P games? 2. I never knew thw PS3 was $400 >_> And guess what? I wouldn't.
Those games sold well  becuase they were exclusive to that system, ps3 has not gotten an exclusive third party games out. By that time it WILL be at $399.99 it will be that price since sony always drops the price on march.

this whole topic is stupid, and arguing with 15 year olds is useless.  Square doesn't owe anyone anything, especially Sony.  Sony did not bring them to life, i can't believe i'm even reading this.  Sony depended on Square probably more than Square even depended on Sony during the PS1 days, but that doesn't mean either of them owe each other anything.  In all of these cases they helped each other, then moved on, now Square is making games for all consoles.
