perfect dark zero on the 360, haze on the ps3, and ironman the video game (multi). Those games gave me the chills after playing about 1/3 through the first chapter.

Robo Warrior on the NES. I used to die all the time. A few years ago I decided to look for the ROM to play it. I felt I was young then maybe I didn't understand the concept. I found the ROM and played it. Guess what? I still died an insane amount of times.
The only thing the game had going for it was the first level had a nice soundtrack. NES had so many memorable tunes.

that game was damn hard, but I beat it! |
You have incredibly high resistance to suckiness! I couldn't bear that game for more than 15 minutes.

LOL its either me being a glutton for punishment or unable to avert my eyes from the firery crash
I can't think of anything particularly sucky, but I do remember when I learned that some games are better then others. When I was really young, I played games on the Atari 2600 at my grandparent's house. They had a lot of games, and among them were Tennis and Realsports Tennis. Realsports Tennis was a vastly superior game.

well don't really have any total shitfests, but out of all the games I own and or rented the ones i hated the most were FF3, and FF7 and possibly GTA San Andreas. Sure I got really far in both 3 and GTA and had fun for a while, but then the novelty wore off for GTA and realized it was same old thing and no longer having fun (would never play again ever), and for FF3 just didn't really ever get into the story. FF7 i did finish but really just didn't think was that great and wondered why even finished, must have been at a game drought time and had not much going on in activities in real life
and since this question is the FIRST game, i played FF7 before the other two so the answer is
FF7
Metabots AX: Rokusho Version for the GBA was a horrible game. I never bought the game, I was borrowing the game. As soon as I played it and thought it was pretty neat, but the battle system was tiresome!
