But I mean placing certain blocks in correct places etc etc does get boring very quickly for me....im more of an action type gamer...which tetris does not provide for me...unless you count "making the blocks go boom" exciting...

Predictions

GT5 will sell 3.2million + first week on ps3 (made 06 March 2010)

FFXIII Versus will have higher Metacritic scores than FFXIII after the first month.... Bet going on with perpride - loser changes sig for a month

KH3 will be PS3 EXCLUSIVE - willing to bet removal from vgchartz for a month

It's likely that I'll be getting it - and it's likely that it's better than IV. Beautiful, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L top down action!

Yeah Chinatown Wars is definitely more fun than GTA IV, and that is because it doesn't try to be realistic IMO.

Why do people keep saying this? GTA IV was not trying to be realistic. Nothing about GTA IV represents the real world. Cops dont stop you for traffic violations. They forget about you in mere minutes of tracking you for murder. They release you with nothing more than a few hundred dollars bribe. You don't die, just wind up in the hospital. You can take upwards of 10-20 bullets. I could go on with these examples for a long time. Again, what is supposed to be so realistic?

CT wars is similar to the GTA 1 and 2 gameplay era....I enjoyed those games but to be honest GTA IV (while it may not be as good as SA) is still a very good game....especially in 3D (where GTA games excel).... But then again you cannot really compare CT wars to GTA IV because of their vast difference....If you want to play the retro GTA go for DS...but if you want a large scale open world game in 3D go for GTA IV...so i guess its just a matter of preference

I should have specified this, sorry.

By realistic i meant the driving controls and the physics mostly. GTA IV just doesn't feel as "crazy" as all other GTAs, it feels more... serious.

That I can get on board with. I don't mind that direction in GTA IV, but if you don't prefer it then you should definitely give Chinatown Wars a try. The driving mechanics, which are a rather big part of the game are especially arcade like, and there are no ragdoll physics for the bodies.

On my shopping list. Will get around to it sometime in the future.

GTA IV was amazing. Even if Chinatown was the greatest DS game, I still would not rank it above something that is in a resolution I dont need to squint at. The sound in GTA IV alone kills anything that is possible on the DS. Physics and animations are mind blowing. I dont know how people could compare the two and flat out say that Chinatown is better.

No doubt. The missions and gameplay is alot more varied and fun. Still overrated. The GTA games just aren't that fun to play, and that's what's really important
