I doubt Nintendo will increase to $300, they know that the closest to the sweet point the better, but they will definetly have a bundled game

Nintendo will keep the price low but still try to attract the casuals without price only. MS will try to stay below Sony to have a price advantage to still gather brand name. Sony will yet again release the most expensive console but not much higher than MS.

If Ninty put a conventional harddrive in the Wii2 it would be the 2nd case of a downgrade between generations. (the first being the harddrive in the xbox, and lack thereof in the core 360)

A flash drive has many advantages over a harddrive, such as

faster read/write speed (game data saves and loads faster)

Is quieter

More energy efficient

Ninty will stick with a flash drive, maybe 4 gb or so

Okay, most people won't give a damn about that.

The Wii makes tons of noice (remember the N64? Couldn't hear it at all).

Its loading times are greatly inferior (longer) than they were on the GC and Ps2.

Who the heck cares about the energy efficency anyway? I mean, it's the difference of 2 lightbulbs.

While that doesn't prove a lot, your arguments pro Flash are pretty mediocre. Considering how much bigger games get, 4gb in 2012 would be equavalient to 512 mb flash in 2006 (pretty much).

I'm not even gonna predict what Nintendo does, because they're an odd mix of super-conservative and very innovative, but your arguments don't really disprove NinjaBlade's.

I think Sony will Keep most of the tech in the PS3 upgrade some minor things and Price the PS4 at $299.99 USD

I think the ps4 wont cost that much, like alot of others have said , they only really need to upgrade a few things bigger hardrive and ram the graphics are fine at the moment and haven't been fully unlocked yet and by the release of ps4 the hardware in it will be cheap, they xbox on the other hand is in for a shock

it will have to be more powerfull that the playstation 3 is now , no point in making a console weaker than a last gen, and it will either need blue ray or another format of disc because games are getting bigger and more detailed which would also lead to a higher price,or it will have a massive hard drive to intsall them on but they already over charge for a 120gb now i can see next xbox being very expensive

I think Xbox 720 and PS4 will fight for the technical crown while wii will have some new awesome way to play the game. M$ and Sony will probably charge $200-300 for their consoles and wii 2 will charge $300.

Wii2 = $249. I think Nintendo's next console will basically be a more powerful version of a 360 and PS3, but not on par with the PS4 and 720. However, I think this won't matter because graphics tech has come so far that there won't be a noticeable jump in graphics until companies can get EVERYTHING from animation to hair, skin, facial motions, etc correct. I imagine the Wii2 will deliver gameplay graphics power equal to a Mass Effect dialog sequence or an Unreal 3 engine cutscene and this will be more than good enough. Also, by this time it should be dirt cheap to put that type of power into a system.

That loading time you refer to is loading of a level, not loading of a save file. Two completely seperate things

And yeah, that's why I predicted 4 gb - Using Moore's Law with a time period of doubling every 18 months (as has been seen for flash memory)

Why would Sony release their next console for a cheap price?

Sony can move consoles at 500-600$, and they'll be launching into an even bigger market. Selling the PS4 at price where it will be extremely profitable (We're seriosuly talking hundreds of dollars for each unit sold) would give them a lot more financial flexibility, which would help support the console in the long run.

Think about it. Sony's not going to have the PS2 covering it's ass this time.
