Welcome to the new world order, old man!

Traditional FF fans who won't accept change?

FIRST AGAINST THE WALL

There is zero wrong with us fans wanting it to stay the way it was.

There is however something wrong if people think our opinion on it is wrong.

Viva la revolucion!

@g-value:

You don't earn money by going on quests. Sidequests usually don't get you much money, unless you're doing hunts, and even then they're not very effective in terms of cost vs. time until you get up to the Behemoth King. You earn money by chaining kills and leveling your loot. I can earn a quarter of a million gil in about twenty minutes at level... what, thirty?

More than I will ever, ever reasonably need.

Sadly I expected more than that for an answer. -.-

What do you want me to say? "No, the Gambit system is awesome and this is why" followed by one of my dissertations? I think it would be a disservice to you for me to go that far.

I will say that if you were able to do that against the bosses, you were probably over-leveled.

But chaining kills would be way to much of a chore. Overall no matter how you put it no matter how innovative the the combat sytem is its still boring.

Too much of a chore? It's just killing the same type of enemy more than once in a row!

Is this a joke? Well, I suppose people do have different opinions... But this is really the case where I'd like to be able to call someone's opinion bad if he/she thinks XII is better. Oh, and I have barely started VII although I own it, so I can't practically say I've even played it.

Yep, VII > XII no matter the fact that I've practically played only XII.

@Khuutra: Forget it, man. He already made up his mind about the game. It doesn't matter what you say...

Quem disse que a boca é tua?

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

7 is crazy overrated but still better than XII

You should be beaten, burned to ashes then someone should throw your ashes from a plane

Why would it be a disservice? You enjoy the game, I understand that and have no issues with it. I am just trying to get opinions and not "Traditional fans who won't accept change?". Nobody said I wouldn't accept change, I just wasn't expecting it to play like FFXI. Who knows, maybe a thought out opinion or something could point out something I missed in the battle system, maybe something that would make it more enjoyable. Who knows? This is why I try to have these discussions.

No bother though. This is why these discussions never work. It is just assumptions.

As for the bosses, maybe I was over-leveled, maybe I wasn't. I wouldn't know, I just set up my gambits the best way I could to have 2 characters attack and use skills while the other would use constant support. It seemed to work up to as far as I played, which was right after Raithwall I think.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

I know but why can't they just give you enough money when you just kill any monster?

why people hate FF12 so much???. is aN AMAZING RPG. for me it have one of the best stories of all the FFs i have played, is not boring, it have the most realistic and mature story and they kept the fantasy in it too wich is what final fantasy is all about. the battle system was different but i like it a lot the only thing i didnt like is the way you use the summons, i mean i barely use them at all but thats it, the magic is incredible and it have a lot of magics and the awekenings were FULL OF EPICNESS. the voice acting is THE BEST I HAVE EVER HEARD. the CGI is the best of all FFs i have played. the characters were great too, i like the fact that the game doesnt have like a main important character, everyone was important in the story, is not like some RPGs like FF7 that put you characters that are not important to the story AT ALL. oh and lets not forget that the game is reallyyyyyy long wich is for me one of my main important requirements for an RPG. oh and the art design is INCREDIBLE, cities were amazing and the dungeons were a little bit long but awesome and the game is hard as hell wich is another of my main important requirements. is an incredible RPG and reviews back me up on this, is a shame that people dont enjoy this game, is really great. it stands out on his genre. i only like FF7 more because the story is emotinaly touching and the battle system is a little bit better. please dont kill me guys i dont wanna flame up the war i am just trying to say why i like the game. sorry if a hurt the FF7 fans jajajaja.

I'm not gonna argue with your comments on the art design, voice acting and cgi, but saying that all the characters were important compared to FFVII is just ridiculous.

Let's take the least important characters in FFVII. People tend to say is either Yuffie or Cait Sith.

The reason people say Cait Sith is not really because he was not important, but more because they hate him. He was a giant slot machine that actually worked for Shinra and switched to your side becoming sort of a triple agent by the end of the game. It was strange for Cloud and company to trust him in the first place, and the player never felt like it was a smart decision to do it after he betrayed you. And he was also useless in battle.

Yuffie on the other hand was an optional character, and while her background was not great, it was there. Doing her side quest lead you to information about Shinra's past, and the only peek into a war that had occurred a few years back. She confronted her father on being totaly lame, and he snapped out of it. She was not exactly the most important character of them all, but she was optional, and demanding good story for optional characters means you're playing too much Chrono Trigger...

Now let's look at Vaan. His brother was killed. He wanted revenge. Then after a while he didn't. That's it.

Now let's look at Penelo. She was Vaan's sidekick. That's it.

i disagree. you just said yuffie is optional so it shouldnt even be counted and her sidestory maight have to do with the past of shinra but it doenst have any relation with the main story and caith sid never played a big role in the story either and like you said it was useless in battle too. maybe i can agree with you regarding penelo but not with vaan. at first like you said he wanted revenge because of his brother but then after he find out the truth he just wanted to make justice and he knew he had to do something because the fate of the world and of his land was in danger and after he met baltheir and all the others pirates at the end, that motivate him more because he wanted from the beggining to be a pirate. he had to do something for his brother and the people that died during the story like the pirate with white hair(i dont remember his name) or the people in the temple with snow because he is a person that is motivated by justice because from the begging of his life he suffered to much. ohh i am sorry if my other opinion sounded as a fact i didnt meant to put it like that sorry guys.

I'm thinking about doing a FFX vs FFVI thread
