I haven't played 7, but it can't be worse than 12. Final Fantasy 12 and Kingdom Hearts are some of the worst RPG's I've ever played. I'll go with 7 just because it's turn-based.

FF7 is the best FF game to date...

Final Fantasy 7 was one of my favorite and most played games of all time, whereas I gave up on Final Fantasy 12 about 20% of the way through. Now I know people will hate FF7 just because it's popular, but it's just a better game than FF12.
