Forums - Nintendo - Nintendough raising Wii price a national offence

This from a guy called CommunistHater.

Yeah capitalism!!! If Nintendo can get away with it, then why not. It still wont be the highest priced console and it is the highest in demand.

I hope you'll apply the same standard to all the companies which raised one or another price in the UK (including among others, Sony).

Just be glad that software prices haven't increased (not that I know of at least).

Sorry but I haven't seen any of these alleged price rises Sony seem to be enforcing...

Maybe. I never thought of that.

By the way, him spelling it Nintendough instead of Nintendo is absolute genius.

Sony, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of consumer TVs, has stated that the plummeting value of the pound against the yen has left it unable to maintain current pricing. In a statement regarding forthcoming price increases, it announced last month that “it is likely that the vast majority of products affected will see increases of less than 33 per cent” and added that “Sony does not believe that it will be alone in taking this form of action”.

They probably would have loved to increase PS3 prices too, but the reason why they didn't do it is pretty obvious.

I've seen the article a few times but that's not what I said . I haven't seen any price rises on any Sony products and I regularly check TV's , MP3's and laptop prices as i'm looking into buying all 3.

Maybe the price increases are being subsidised by the retailers , but I haven't noticed anything from a consumer point of view.

You know what is funnier than the use of M$? Everything except the use of Nintendough.

Literally everything. Drowning puppies is somewhat funnier than M$, and a hell of a lot funnier than Nintendough

I am from UK, and couldnt care less. In fact I want the price to rocket so I can sell my wii for higher price ;)

Well yes, but then  -  you haven't actually seen any price rises from Nintendo either.

Drowning puppies?  Impossible.  They can do the dog paddle.

I do agree that M$ and Nintendough are both incredibly unfunny.
