Just be glad that software prices haven't increased (not that I know of at least).

 

Sorry but I haven't seen any of these alleged price rises Sony seem to be enforcing...

Sony, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of consumer TVs, has stated that the plummeting value of the pound against the yen has left it unable to maintain current pricing. In a statement regarding forthcoming price increases, it announced last month that “it is likely that the vast majority of products affected will see increases of less than 33 per cent” and added that “Sony does not believe that it will be alone in taking this form of action”.

They probably would have loved to increase PS3 prices too, but the reason why they didn't do it is pretty obvious.

 

 

I've seen the article a few times but that's not what I said . I haven't seen any price rises on any Sony products and I regularly check TV's , MP3's and laptop prices as i'm looking into buying all 3.

Maybe the price increases are being subsidised by the retailers , but I haven't noticed anything from a consumer point of view.
