I m not a fan of horror gaming

Mystery solved

We all wanted to see a survival horror game, and instead we got a shooter. It doesn't matter whether it is a good shooter or not, because all reviewers are reviewing it as a survival horror game, and thus the 6/10 is justified

Wow, so you're saying it doesn't matter how great the game is because the game is not scary?

Oh, and just to let you know, Resident Evil 4 was not scary either, did you say the same for that game too?

RE4 still had the tense atmosphere, though.  It was quite tense just sort of looking around and wondering if there's an enemy around the corner.  From what I've played of RE5, it's just balls-out action.

And I love it!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Not everybody did.  Compare RE4's Japanese sales to that of RE1-3.  :P

@ Zones and Spartan

RE4 was much scarier than than RE5 appears to be - the co-op thing destroys the horror aspect completely. I'll admit it wasn't as scary as REmake for example, and yes, I did compain about that at the time.
RE4 still maintained many of the aspects of the earlier games - a need for ammo conservation for example
RE4 had much better graphics than RE5 for its time

RE4 had many improvements over the previous games, as well as a few things it did worse
RE5 is just worse than RE4 in all respects in my opinion, and in the opinion of many other people

im feeling you man im loving the game my ai isnt that shitty but runs out of amo fast but its rly awesome

@scottie i guess i can understand why the traditional fanbase can be let down but the franchise will find lot's of new followers.

beside the graphics look really good.not KZ2 good(though better than KZ2 in facial animation).

graphically it's easily in top 2 X360 games and top 5 PS3 games.

Spartan - Yeah, I'm sure the game will sell well

And yeah, the graphics are good, but RE4 GC version graphics were imo better for their time

I think I should let myself think about it a bit more and longer since I only just finished it a couple of hours ago, but I think I'd give it maybe a 7.5-8. Now those are still quite nice scores in my opinion.

I know a couple of my friends like the use of actual weapon's names and they enjoy playing the game well enough. I also wasn't too unhappy with gameplay (sometimes I would take cover instead of pick up an item and that takes time and can result in getting hit). However I wasn't impressed by the puzzles. It went from pretty simple puzzles to at the last boss wanting you to do things sometimes where it seems you just have to figure out by trial and error, which you normally would have to do, but we felt it wasn't really intuitive.

you call RE5 a horror game?
