Tabatha would be an easy pick in that sense but she hasn't shown up yet.

Cinnamon ain't too bad either, I guess. Selphy's going to end up crazy about me, though: she's only been here for a few days but she's already nearly leveled up on her heart meter. I guess it helps that I like reading.

The fact that she sells important books is bound to help, too. I hope she ends up carrying recipes!

I've got to confess to being something of a Cinnamon fan. It's like Marvelous asked me about my dream girl, made a digital copy...and turned her into jailbait. :-/

Selphy likes it when you read new books, but you'll be running out of those soon-ish, and her favorite food can't be assembled until Fall, so she may end up being one of the later girls you max out. Uzuki and, ironically, Mist, are the toughest.

And yes, Selphy carries all the recipe books you'll need. And believe you me...

You'll buy them at a high price!

Mist is the toughest? But she likes Turnips! I can give her a turnip every single day.

Right, so giving a girl something she likes is the slow and steady route. A turnip today, a turnip tomorrow, and a turnip for every day for the next three months+. And this assumes you see her every day.

By contrast, giving a girl something she loves almost skyrockets her to the next level. Iris, for example, was on my like white on rice after two weeks (too bad I hate her guts...). Mist loves Emery Flowers.

Those take 120 days to grow.

One-hundred and twenty days.

And I take it back: Bianca is easily the toughest of them all. There's nothing but the slow and steady route with her, because she hates everything.

Oh Jesus an entire year

Okay, okay, I've got it.

Please tell me that almost everyone has something they love and that I can figure this out through trial and error.

Everyone but Bianca has something they love and you can figure this out either through trial and error, or by paying attention to what they say (or by reading the end of the manual, where they all give big hints).

One thing to note: Tabatha's appears to have been partially mistranslated. She says she loves rice porridge, but the recipe is listed as something different.

Please tell me that Lara loves something besides my health!

Also I have a feeling I need to make a kitchen my next extension, after I get a barn.

So my friend still hasn't asked for his Wii back yet, so i'm going to rent this and have a go at it. As a fan of harvest moon i'm sure i'll find something great here. I'll post back with my impressions.

Going for Lara, Khuutra?! Shame on you for trying to defile a woman of the cloth! Although later she pointedly mentions that nuns in her religion can marry. :)

She does, and the ingredients are easy to get. But yes, you'll be needing a kitchen for her (and all but four of the girls).

@ameratsu: Cool. I bet you'll like it. THere's a lot to like, here.

@noname:

Maaaaan Lara don't talk much for me. Do I just need to increase her friendship level, or keep talkign to her, or what? What's a gift she LIKES, even if she doesn't love it?
