Sry but you simply fail, when you bring up CoD 3 while I'm talking about CoD and CoD4. There is just no excuse.
Sorry, but I cannot compare those because I haven't played CoD. It was dumbed down for consoles in third.
About those games:
I wouldn't count Bioshock because it's not a true sequel, spin-off whatever (EA owns the System Shock IP) - Still debatable.
Fallout 3 was influenced by Bethesda and has not much to do with the previous games, so of course they made it similar to Oblivion.
Well, it is true that both of those don't have much common to previous games, but anyway those are more or less sequals for those series.
I'm playing games for 13-14 years. Should I mention that I don't like most indie games ?
I guess thats why you are console player in first place. ;)
For you I'll repeat myself in regards of controls in FPS: "It requires more skill for a console gamer to reach the average skill of a PC gamer."
That everybody with a mouse can beat everybody with a controller is bogus.
Skill? Uhm, you said it yourself. Mouse is better as you need to practice a lot with controller to be able to beat average PC gamer with mouse. Most console shooters do have autoaim & other stuff to help poor console players as controllers are so poor with fps games. You are right about that everybody with mouse can't beat everybody with controller. I am quite sure that you can beat 1 year old baby in fps, if you use controller. However if you play against anyone who has played at least some fps games(with mouselook of course) on PC you get owned and fast with controller.
EDIT: I don't know why you're always bitching about Oblivion.
Because that game sucks and hard.
The average strategy game died a long time ago.
Google for Stardock for example. :)
Everything changes, that's the same reason why Point & Click Adventures became niche games. And guess what - I'm glad about it. P&C Adventures were cool a long time ago when you couldn't make complex open worlds and tell epic storylines.
Lol, I find this comment about complex open worlds etc. very funny as you seem to be more console gamer. Anyway point & click adventure games aren't dead or they haven't become even niche games. You just don't hear about them a lot as they are not for (stupid) masses.

Sorry, they aren't that dead. )
I repeat my question again, because it is important in this matter. If you cannot see how, I am not sure why should I even try anymore.
Can you show me even one game on HD consoles that require more thinking than average 10-years old can do? :)
