So you're angry that your warranty expired and they wouldn't fix your stuff for free? You know that doesn't make sense right?

Winner of the "Common Sense Award!" Everyone give him a hand!

DUde companies have to follow warranty policies mate don't stop giving nintendo your business after all that they have done for you previously.
I think the most amazing part of the story is that you started on a gamecube.
If you told the guy you started on a NES he probably would of been more touched by your story.
But in all seriousness I think due to bad economy companies will be tightening up on this kind of stuff. Sure they use ot let it slide, but with economy in the shit they want ot make money and legally they have the right to do so if a product expires.
Our cook top break 3days after warranty expired and same thing happened to us, We baught a new one cause repair costs where more expensive then a new cook top. Mainly cause Labour + parts they said it just wasn't worth it.
Yep. In fact they are both playing right now! :) Okami in one room. Naruto in the living room! They have friends over. Nice way to keep them from killing the house.
I was expecting some flak about this, so I wasn't surprised. What did surprise me was that I actually got some constructive comments too. My only point was that it really makes no sense from a business standpoint to tell a paying customer to piss up a rope. I actually believe that if I call again and get someone else, I might be able to get something done. In which case, my beef wouldn't be with Nintendo, just the customer service guy with a chip on his shoulder. I hardly think that what I am doing is whining. I am not busting on Nintendo. Why shouldn't I be able to expect a product to last, and if it doesn't, that it be fixed? Excuse me if I was disappointed that Nintendo left me hangin. I didn't expect it.

My first GBA SP (cobalt blue) got the L Button stuck (this was before it became a true issue) and I sent it into Nintendo (I forget how much shipping and handling was, but it wasn't that much). They couldn't repair it so they sent me a new GBA SP (cobalt blue) free of charge (well, the S&H was there and at a low price).
