I think the most amazing part of the story is that you started on a gamecube.

If you told the guy you started on a NES he probably would of been more touched by your story.

But in all seriousness I think due to bad economy companies will be tightening up on this kind of stuff. Sure they use ot let it slide, but with economy in the shit they want ot make money and legally they have the right to do so if a product expires.

Our cook top break 3days after warranty expired and same thing happened to us, We baught a new one cause repair costs where more expensive then a new cook top. Mainly cause Labour + parts they said it just wasn't worth it.
