It will not hinge on GTA:CW success one bit.
It hinges on Nintendo support and resource allocation.
That is all.

My guess is that they'll make another PSP GTA and port it to Wii this time instead of PS2. San Andreas Stories, here we come.

The Board is the best site on the Internet.
If they are not developing a GTA game for the Wii it's easy to see why their economics are so damn screwed..I mean hundred of millions of Revenue but no profit whatsoever...
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
yeah, doesn't make much sense.
if it's not already in development, I think it won't come to the Wii

It would have to be for the Wii first. San Andreas is too big to fit on a PSP disc. So would a Stories version.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

4 consecutive GTA games have so far sold over 10 million. Unless the DS version sells at least 10-15 million (considering the install size) I doubt that Rockstar will create a Wii version. The question is, can Chinatown wars become a success on the casual handheld and sell 10 million copies?

This is a portable game, so you should count the portable games as well. They did sell well, just not 10 million, even if you combine PSP and PS2 version sales.
So it doesn't have to sell 10 million, just a few million. And even that doesn't have to be all at once, since the stories games didn't have whopper openings.
