@Stickball. No more Heroes flopped? I'm sure it has made profit and it wasn't hyped to be big

Madworld came out the 11th here (in America). Shipments didn't come in on the 10th. Some places didn't get it the 11th either.
Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. " thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

So hopefully we might expect good 2nd week sales?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping this game sells at least a million in its life time.
I think people throw around the word "flop" way too much.
I don't consider NMH or Z&W to be flops at all.
If you want a flop take a look at Deadly Creatures.
Do you consider 400,000 units for a game that had a decent advertising budget to be good? I must be in a strange world where a decent sandbox game must cost nothing to make.
The retailer reports are from NeoGAF retail musings from store clerks. The number is my own, but given the 5-7 retailer reports, they seem to be saying above NMH.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Ah ancedotal sales. I've found those to be pretty useless over time as they don't really yield anything other than a guess. A very local and miniscule based guess. Although I still think it was about 50k-100k first week no matter that.
As for 400,000, yes in sales but not shipments. Aparently the game was close to 600,000 in shipments if I remember the number they gave. That's their actual sales and apparently it was good enough. I mean there is a sequel coming out. Usually commercial failures don't have sequels.
NMH had a decent advertising budget? Actually, NMH had a decent bugdet? I must have missed the memo.
NMH wasnt advertised at all. Was it?

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

No after Ubisoft saw what happened with Rockstar and Manhunt 2 they wanted to keep this pretty low on the radar such not to get too much attention from the "dangerous" media I suppose. Thus it came out with no commercial advertising and limited in store advertising. Sold purely off hype for the game generated by core users.
