Well both games have sold well it looks like Killzone's appeal to the European market has given it the slight edge in first week sales.

Looking at future sales it is possible that Halo Wars will overtake Killzone in the next couple of months, it really depends on how strong US sales remain for Halo Wars and how strong European sales remain for Killzone.

I predicted Killzone2 to sell only 700k LT.

Well lets be frank. If Halo Wars would have sold more then KZ2 it would mean that KZ2 was a big failure or Halo Wars would be top 5 titles on 360 ever.

Just smacking Halo doesn't mean sales. Mario is a diffrent thing cause the buyers are diffrent.

RTS on console is small, Halo on it makes it larger but not like a hyped FPS game.

KZ2 has been the beacon of PS3 since 2005 and Halo Wars has been like a cool experiment on how to broadern the Halo trademark.

Well, Halo Wars did manage to outsell Killzone 2 week 1 in America. Also, Halo really isn't that popular in Europe (at least compared to in America).

i never expected halo wars to beat KZ2 for many reasons. 1 RTS on consoles dont typiucally sell well and second KZ2 has been hyped for 4 years. But great sales to both games

KZ2 is doing well on sales (how much does it need to break even?). I predicted a 2m ceiling on sales, and likely will be wrong. However, it isn't moving hardware much at all.

Halo Wars I've not seen 1/10th as much hype and its in a less consumer-friendly genre, so I'm not surprised it was beat on launch. Will wait and see where it finishes lifetime.

RTS vs FPS isn't fair. And Halo will easily outsell KZ due to the halo name alone.
