I disagree I loved Vice City but for some reason once I started playing San Andreas I realized that my love for GTA games had gone away and I was ready to play different games. There is only so many times I can steal someones car, run from the police, or stop some gang violence before it gets boring. That went for GTA 4 as well, once I got passed the great hd graphics the game wasn't anything to write home about. I would say Vice City is the best in the series by far.
yep was the best GTA yet but i do like the realism in 4 like the way the cars drive and such i hope we get a current gen version of SA b4 this gen ends

Play Me
Vice City was much better than San Andreas. SA was great, sure, but it can't touch the masterpiece that Vice City is

There are a lot of flaws in Vice City though, I have just been replaying it through... the main thing tha annoys me are things like the fire truck missions... which are goo in themselves, but I got up to level 15 in the downtown area and it spawned the new fires closer to little haiti, but then spawns one in the airport area and it's a very long route around to it, taking out much of my time... then I have to go back to little haiti for the next one, and then level 19 it claims it spawns in the airport area, and I drive round there to find it is in fact in the city dump which is for some reason classed as the airport even though it is across water.
Another thing is a shop in little Haiti which has the change of cloths for being Haitian... except there is an invisible barrier as a square inside the door, so you cannot walk fully into the store to get the cloths.
There are more glitches too, though I suspect some may be PC version only.
Still, definately better than the other GTAs I have played, and still an excellent game, just cruising on a Freeway/Angel listening to Wave or Flash is enjoyable (until you hit some jerk who turns a corner at lightning speed and go flying... sometimes I wish there was an option to make the radio station stay on when you fall off a bike)

The big thing I didn't like about Vice City is that it's just too small. While the 80's feeling is great I prefer a modern mafia storyline.
San Andreas probably has the best gameplay of the series but GTAIV is still the better game. It has a much deeper, well written storyline, more believable characters with though provoking stories. The gameplay is not as varied or fun because it is meant to conform to the realism and serious tone of the storyline as well. In the end that pushes GTA IV over the edge as the better game, though the gameplay may be lacking the narrative is very strong in comparison.
It was rather good but again, gameplay sucked. Well, in IV it sucked even more. No, I don't mean sucked in, just sucked. Was bad.
