Forums - Nintendo - Seems DR CTYD might have some legs, even if not spectacular ones.

Large drop in Japan, but it's a niche game (and let's not restart and argument about third parties and legs; not that many Nintendo games have legs in Japan; it's just a few notable examples). In the other regions, the drop was small. Still waiting another week to see if this holds, but those tend to be good signs.

Can we not argue over whether it's any good. It's pretty clear some tend to like it or not depending on what they feel about the 360 version.

And for Capcom, we only know they just annouced some games. It is not proof no further, more robust games, are coming along.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Legs in games have become almost unpredictable, so saying that the game MIGHT have legs is fairly pointless. I think it will legs enough to reach a decent total, but nothing impressive.

The point is that if it had huge dropoffs all around, then we could be certain it would sell poorly.

This is largely to show that is has a chance to sell well, when others insisted it didn't.

The launch numbers were mediocre at best, so saying it didn't have bad dropoffs doesn't mean much.

This wasn't worth Capcoms time .... or money

Its a month or 2 away from selling 5k a week WW

The game will not develop legs of any kind.

At this rate it could eventually reach 150k worldwide!

No adverting + No effort = Failure.

Sorry, but claiming it's certain to drop off just comes across as wishful thinking than market analysis.

I know this is is a site for sales, but when people apply their own prejudices to their projections, they don't amount to much.

I'm not anticipating much, due to little advertising (but no effort is false, since they had to remake all the assets), but I know better than to think sales moves one way or another is certain.
