Does anyone have data or estimates how many copies of Starcraft have been sold up to date ?

Last I heard someplace it was 9.5 mil like 6 months ago? Could have been jsut rumors though.

I believe it's over 10 million by this point. In 2006 it was reported as being 9.5 million sold worldwide and I know that since StarCraft 2 was announced StarCraft sales have increased and it's managed to make the top 10 charts a couple of times since.

ive heard around 10 million. But thats just legal copies. Illegal ones are probably that much more.



I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

It is over 10 milions according to Blizzard, but part of them are downloaded via digital distribution online.

Yeah 10 million or so. Starcraft 2 will probably do just aswell. If they can get the wow casuals interested it'll do even better.
