I think SONY can't bring Killzone franchises in to NA that is the end of PS3 in NA i think 360 still strong sell in all region even in Japan. I think if SONY can't beat 360 in NA they will loss in this generation.

Will Sony beat the Wii?  If not, then how can it be said to have won this generation?

Sorry, i mean HD console war.

Whoa @ Wii. Maybe it's the Madworld effect?

With or without Killzone2/Halo Wars, Wii keeps pissing on everything.

I don't think it is all about winning with Sony anymore. Just recouperating their loses on PS3 should be considered a win, profit will be a bonus. Contrary to popular believe the PS3 is far from dead or dying, it just suffering from a serious flu.

Strategic price cuts by Microsoft as the PS3 was finding it's feet and a low entry price by Nintendo knocked them back.

The strong Yen isn't helping either. The weak pound in a strong UK console market and the euro also forecasted to nosedive at some point soon will affect all three consoles' profit/lost.

Nintendo is in the best position here as even if they up the price to counter the weakening pound/euro as they indicated they would, I don't think it would affect their sales because the wii is unique. I am not sure it is wise for the other two (definitely not sony) to follow as such. Meaning more lost for sony and microsoft.

Cash rich Nintendo and Microsoft are in a good position to counter a lot of what the recession can throw at them, I am not sure Sony is.

It should be interesting to see the numbers for the next couple of weeks as everywhere you turn around here you run into an XBOX 360 deal of some sort. There's a couple PS3 deals to be found as well. Must be clearance time before the end of the first quarter.

With EU & NA sales, the gap between PS3 and X360 for this week is 23,555. According to Famitsu, PS3 beats X360 by ~26,000 in Japan.

So, PS3 outsells X360 worldwide again this week.

Gap is 35607 not 23555.

I think he rounded down by a lot.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Great numbers, Wii sales are crazy. 360 rebounds, looks like it's back on top of the PS3 WW this week. Next 2 weeks numbers with RE5's release in NA will be very interesting.

I think this shows the PS3 is in dire need of cutting the price now. Looking at the calander after RES5 there is not much coming of note until the end of the year really for any of the consoles.

I would not be surprised to hear Sony announce the price drop at GDC next week. It threw everything it had at the last 2 weeks (releasing YK3,KZ2, new cheaper bundles in europe/japan, mass marketing etc) and for all that they lasted a week at the top. barely making a dent in the Nintendo/Microsoft armor.

One thing is for sure in my book whatever happens in the next 4 months will make or break this gen for Sony.
