The Large Hadron Collider killing us is about as likely as strangelets forming spontaneously whenever you bang two rocks together. It's not impossible, but it's so remote as to be effectively a non-factor.

Answer: According to the scientific literature and climate experts, CO2 contributes anywhere from 9% to 30% to the overall greenhouse effect. The 95% number does not appear to come from any scientific source, though it gets tossed around a lot.

There is a very important distinction to be made, as you will read if you follow the link to Real Climate, between water vapour's role in the Earth's Greenhouse effect and it's role in climate change. If you were to read through the table of climate forcings in the IPCC report or at NASA's page about forcings in its GCM, you won't find water vapour there at all. This is not because climate scientists are trying to hide the role of water vapour, rather it is because H2O in the troposphere is a feedback effect, it is not a forcing agent. Simply put, any artificial perturbation in water vapour concentrations is too short lived to change the climate. Too much in the air will quickly rain out, not enough and the abundant ocean surface will provide the difference via evaporation. But once the air is warmed by other means, H2O concentrations will rise and stay high, thus providing the feedback.

I quoted a scientific source... a direct scientific study.

As for the IPCC report.  That's the same one a number of scientists quit and refused to sign their names too because they said the lead scientists were misrepresenting and fudging data for politcal reasons... right?

Why people arent convinced about this is weird for me. For some reason a not minor part of the people in the US think it BS. Its happening and we are still in time to prevent more damage, but I guess economics are more important to many people and are less motivated to find new sources of energy to give the oil companies more money, buy cheaper cars, buy more and more cars, dont use the public system etc...

People dont want to admit because its gonna hurt their poket and bad habbits. They want to drive more, have cars that use more gas, dont wanna spend in cleaner technology, or invest in solar panels.

Bush was the biggest idiot the world knew and he denied it, its enough reason to believe its true.

People don't want to admit because the system of denial has been operating effectively for over 20 yrs.
Only now, in the last 4-5 yrs have normal people actually noticed, and wondered why, extreme weather events are happening.

Well i tell you something, i believe it and i will be diving the Great Barrier Reef, travelling through the Amazon and trecking through Tibet and the Alps because its all gone in a few years. Don't believe me? Fine, you will never see the wonders of these places if your wrong.

I'll beleive in the global warming alarmist's theory when the Green movement starts to demand we build more nuclear power plants to "save the planet".

Until then, I think it's the biggest scientific fraud since the flat Earth.

I actually want people to drive less, have cars that use less gas and want green technologies.

What I don't like is dishonesty.

Amusignly Bush has one of the most ecofriendly houses in the entire world by the way.  It's mostly Geopowered.
