It seems a LOT of people who have answered thus far in this thread have no idea about how the Japanese market has been for the past year. The PSP had it's turn around a very long time ago, the PSP has been second to only DS for some time now and even then the PSP outsold the DS for some time past year.

On a serious note, I am surprised that 360 HW sales only raised by around 1k from the previous week, even with RE5 release + HW bundles.

I guess it hurts when you advertise the game for co-op and include a stupid DVD remote instead of an extra controller.

Second to only DS? There're any other game systems besides DS and PSP in Japan? ^_^ Ok, ok... relevant systems.

RE5 is not the killer'ap, yakuza3 has sold more than re5 on ps3.

But RE5 is a HW'seller, at least on the ps3.

But the famitsu numbers are different than MC'numbers, let's see the average to have a good idea of how RE5 impact the HW

Just to clarify, that is 1k more than VGChartz numbers for last week. I haven't checked last weeks 360 numbers from Famitsu yet.

Edit - Checked last weeks 360 HW sales from Famitsu and indeed it is only a 1k increase, they had it marked at 13k. That isn't very good if you ask me considering the fact that RE5 sold 79,000 copies and HW sales only raised by 1k. I expected at least 18-20k.

Sold numbers...wow Yakuza 3 is still going strong. Im glad to see that especially when a lot of people said its numbers would drop harder than Star Ocean 4's. Sitting at a nice 414k not bad for one region.
