Okay I dont see Seece or Numonex

2009 confirmed to be the Year of PS3?

:P
More like March 2009 is the month of PS3 (in Japan) to be more realistic.

Will that mean April as well?
FF: ACC bundle comes next month.

Perhaps... assuming MHG and ARF don't put up a formidable fight.

Well from what I know Monster Hunter only started selling well when it went onto a handheld. On consoles it was never even close to half as big as it is now. I am not sure if MHG will do much for the Wii, although I could be wrong.
Plus Final Fantasy will sell much better that month in my opinion, even if it is a demo. People will want that limited edition PS3.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Some good old fashioned Sony domination does the heart good :)

Also, it looks like my prediction for japan will happen next week or the week after. Take that Seece!!!!

Not by Famitsu's February (01/26 - 02/22).

Wii: 85,815
PS3: 65,796

ARF comes out in June.

And MHG is a port of a PS2 game. The key appeal of MH is due to the game being better on a handheld. Online multiplayer is also pay to play on both the Wii and PS2 versions whereas the PSP versions are free.

And MHG sold 230k on PS2 in its lifetime.

Yeah, Monster Hunter could go either way.  I don't think the Wii installments will be as big as the PSP installments, but I think they'll do much better than the PS2 games because of the success Capcom found with the PSP games.  So Monster Hunter G will do pretty well for Wii not only because it's Monster Hunter, but because it comes with a nice classic controller and demo of Monster Hunter 3 tri.

VGC did Feb a week later.

Famitsu's didn't include Yakuza 3.

Wii hanging tough with no compelling software.

This is the most amazing part of the chart every week, IMO.  Yes, I'm ecstatic that the PS3 is #1 and may stay there for a few more weeks (wahoo), but the fact that the Wii still sells so much, and gets maybe one or two good games a year, is crazy.

Again: the one amazing figure there: WiiFit 19k, Wii 20k.

It won't be long before WiiFit starts outselling the Wii - no wonder what is driving hardware...

Sure, but this is Famitsu thread.

I know. I was just explaining where he got that from.
