Forums - Sony - Heavenly Sword gets good review from 1up

He is allowed to think Heavenly Sword is better...I'm sure he played the demo at least.

But it's true he isn't allowed to say it's better until it's complete I suppose. Have you played through MP3 by the way? Because you people can't say the same thing unless you've played through Metroid.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I may never even buy MP3 because thus far I do not like the original game. I'm simply not a fan of first person games. But you can't base an entire game off a demo especially to compare it against a game you've never played. It'd be like me writing movie reviews based on trailers.

To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.

nice troll shams.... but i agree with ya

I can't understand how this is an 8 and MP3 a 9 - for the same reviewer. Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

That said, IMO HS is a 7/10 game - so I can understand why it gets reviews in the 6/10...8/10 range.

I don't understand it neither, considering that Heavenly Sword blows Metroid Prime 3 away in terms of gameplay, story, and visuals. Metroid scoring higher then Heavenly is bull, and tells me that it's only getting a high score because it's one of Nintendo's major franchises. In my opinion, Heavenly Sword is a 8.7 game, with Metriod being a 8.1 game.

For me heavenly sword is an 0/10 game -i just never would spend 60$ for 6 hours of bad gameplay with no replay value at all.

We should compare heavenly sword with WiiPlay, or Alien syndrome, games of that quality, not with metroid prime 3.

We should compare smb with dbz budokai 1, the game blows because I havent played it and Im an idiot.

So I'm a troll for liking Heavenly Sword better than Metriod? I really don't understand how my post was any more trolling than Shams post, which also wasn't trolling. I said Heavenly sword was better; shams said that Metriod was better. Just because I happen to like the non-Nintnendo game better doesn't make me a troll at all. If this wasn't a Nintedo game and was something like Ninja Gaiden, for example, none of you would have had a problem with my post.

Whats bull is you claiming that MP3 is scoring better than HS just because its a big Nintendo game - especially since you haven't played either.

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"

I think it's fine that you like Heavenly Sword better.

I have bad taste in games, too.

If you go back on the boards and find older posts you will find that:

Blazing Angels is one of my favorite games (of this gen so far).
I am really looking forward to Lair, just because of the dragons.
Wii Ports are cool in my book, (ckmlb was upset when I said that one)
I don't like Resistance. Motorstorm is ok.
I am indifferent about Mario Party 8, most love it or hate it. I just think "eh".
I am really looking forward to the following games that I know are going to get bad reviews or sell 10 copies - Dragon Blade, Sing Star (PS3), Ninja Bread Man, etc.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I really can't understand how IGN gave 6.8 to Gundam... and 7.0 to Heavenly Sword... if they want to be harsh (as Edge) why not to treat all games equally? Gundam is a total shit while Heavenly Sword is a masterpiece... (even if you don't find it this way... if you played both games you will agree there is much bigger difference than 0.2)
BTW - all these rankings don't take into account things like : 6 from Edge is more than 7 from IGN... while 9 from Play is less than 7 from IGN and so on...

0/10?  Sure 60 buck is a bit much... but if you saw it in Gamestop for 5-10 dollars a year or two from now wouldn't you pick it up?  That's what I plan to do with it.

Assuming Dynasty Warriors Gundam is anything like the rest of the Dynasty Warriors series I can see plenty of reasons it'd get a 6.8.

Length - A Dynasty Warriors game can be beat in a few hours.  However they give you many many characters to beat the game with, each with differing stages and different stories.

Replayability - Dynasty Warriors games always have all sorts of extra items to unlock.

Co-op mode - Dynasty Warriors games are all sorts of fun when playing with another person.

Dynsasty Warriors games don't suck - They don't.  They get repetitive sure, but so does heavenly sword according to reviewers.  The only reason Dynasty Warriors games get bad reviews is because they arn't sports titles.  By that I mean, they change very little from each iteration.  If you think a Dynasty Warriors game is easy try putting it on the hardest difficulty level.  Well okay... they're still easy, but not when compared to other games of this and last generation.

It's Gundam - Gundam is a much more established franchise.  Heavenly Sword is a new unproven IP.  Look at how huge Gundam is and all the stuff that's sprouted off the original show.  Gundam is huge.
