I have visions of developers saturating one genre at a time on the Wii. Party games, puzzle games, racers and rail shooters are done. Any bets on which one will be next? Action is getting there... |

Usually it's about the game but this gen Capcom is all over the HD platforms and will use the Wii and their on Rails shooter to pad their pockets and improve their balance sheet. Boo them. I'm keeping my money in my pocket. Hopefully, I'm wrong and they are going to make a proper Resident Evil game. |
Capcom's always been open about wanting the money first. Granted that their strategy is now a bit different, but remember that this is the company that would make an awesome new IP, then promptly port it to every platform under the sun AND turn it into a franchise that quickly lost its fans, only to repeat the cycle.
Plus you're forgetting Monster Hunter. That's going to be pretty big (too bad I don't care for the genre...).
