I would take a remake of RE2 over this.

There's already a RE2 remake on the Cube. A Wii version of that would basically be the same game, but with different controls. Oh wait, that's a port.

Their is no remake of RE2 on the GC.....Or I must have missed something..

Competition between this and Dead Space is going to be something to watch.
Will they release in the same time frame?

haha, most people would still rather the port. Just because the game is NEW doesn't mean it is good.

Also, when will HD console owners realise, it isn't just about having a real RE game liek the 360/PS3 has, it is all about the controls that RE4 showed us.

All I know is if I go to the shop next week, I will be picking up SFIV or other game over resident evil 5, purely on the conrol factor.

There is still plenty of time to change the name of the game to your suggestion. Although since it will be a mature rated game I think they can use the full words instead of just FU.

I don't have RE 4 Wii so I can't comment on that. But still, Umbrella Chronicles was a good game, why is everyone so dissapointed? The main RE is in development for the HD consoles, and it will continue that way, unless RE 5 sells really bad. Too bad you'll be missing a good experience by not buying RE 5.

A RE 5 port on the Wii wouldn't be good as well, it would be a downgrade on every part, maybe besides the controls (again, I don't know how te RE 4 controls on the Wii are).

Don't get me wrong UC was fun, but compared to RE4 it just doesn't cut it (personal opinion). If Capcom called it something else other than RE I would be cool with it. They teased me with the potential of a RE game which I have full control over has made me want more of that. 

I will eventually get RE5, but I will not pay full price for it as the PS3 has too many better games out atm.

I wasn't expecting RE5 port, but rather a new RE game that used the Wii Controller like in RE4.

was hoping for traditional RE game on wii, i would still buy this since i also like on-rails shooters but the wii does not need another on-rails shooter, there is enough of them already.
