Neither do I, but that's what it says.

Any game can be made fast and cheap. Good games take time because there is extra effort put into making them enjoyable. This applies to any genre. I bet at least a million people were hoping for this sequel to a popular game. |
I really don't care if Wii gets a whole slew of light gun games, the problem I and everyone else who is disaponted has is this:
Wii: RE:UC
PS360: RE:5
PS360 gets a full fledged RE game while Wii (with better capable controls) gets a rail shooter, only reason it makes me mad is because it's a complete waste of potencial, RE:4 on the Wii had the best controls of any RE game. I'm not asking for RE:5 on Wii either but rather a TPS RE game built the same as RE:4 on Wii.
What about RE:4's 1.7 million in sales? Doesn't that justify more too?.... if anything more than UC if we're talking sales numbers.

Actually, the controls *were* complicated (they confused me at points), and the game was quite hard.
Could mean its becoming more of a "pure" light-gun shooter (aka House of the Dead) - less reloading, less weapon switching, less viewport control...
Either way, good luck to them. Its not for me - unless its $20US.

As a Resident Evil fan i am really excited. UC was the best rail shooter i ever played (despite the control issues i had with it!)
What a pity, is it that hard to let the player move the character as he likes?

The producer of RE:UC admitted that Capcom changed the game from a tradition RE title to light gun game to save development time and costs. That is where the cheap cash in angle comes in. It's ridiculous for them to screw the Wii userbase again. RE4 sold more than RE:UC. You think they'd come up with a traditional RE experience for Wii fans, but no they are just churning out another rail shooter. Well, I'm not buying it. I'm not buying Dead Space either. Capcom can shoehorn Dead Rising onto the RE4 engine but they can't even do the same with a new RE game. I want an actual RE game with Wii controls. Playing RE5 after playing RE4 Wii edition is huge step backwards.
@Star Scream
Wait did you say, developed by Cavia? Cavia of Bullet Witch fame? Oh this just gets better and better. Why don't they just rename the game Resident Evil FU Wii Owners Edition.

Damnit. I had hoped for a CV sequal on the RE4 engine after the comments they made the other day :(
FIrst Dead Space now this, well i dont mind light gun games but its not my favorite genre, there is going to be more On rails shooters on Wii than FPS's on 360 if this continues.
