I mean who wouldn't want to buy some Sony Chicken? They could also set up a big games section in the stores and use some of the factories for Playstation products.

Realistically, does not Nintendo have a cash reserve larger than Sony's current stock value. If Sony ever tried to get the Big N, it would find itself in a money fight with a well-equiped money-making machine.

Atari will become a monster publisher again (since Phil came Atari got quite a few more games), Sega are also big and L5 make too much money on the DS to even think about being purchased. That and Hino wishes for L5 to become one of the big Japanese publishers which will not happen if Sony purchase them.

A pharmacutical company because only people on drugs would buy a PS3....HAHA i'm so funny !!!


If it were possible they should buy Square Enix , but Level 5 sounds like a realistic option.

As for companies I'd like them to buy...

It'd be interesting if they bought Level 5 and forced them to hire some decent script writers, but Level 5 is moving into publishing of its own, so that's unlikely to happen.

It'd also be interesting if they bought From Software. Demon's Souls shows the fruits of their current relationship, and it'd be nice if Sony forced them (or rather just gave them the time and money) to polish their games a bit more, moving them up from "merely average" status to something more. From Software is also in the complete opposite position of Level 5. They never publish anything themselves, despite how large they are, and often actively pursue other publishers and relationships with bigger companies for their titles. Hell, they're releasing titles for both Microsoft and Sony in mere months of each other. I think its highly possible that somebody would be able to buy them if they had the money to.

But I don't think Sony would want to buy From Software.
