no it doesnt count as a price cut, it is just a cheaper version of the console, would any1 say that the 160GB is a price increase, no it's a different model.

Well the thing here is that nobody ever brought up and was bashing on Halo Wars numbers. If you read my post history I already admitted that Halo Wars numbers are extremely impressive, especially considering the fact it is an RTS. You will find that in last weeks numbers thread.

You just can't call one bundle that actually gave a boost "sad" when there was a Halo Wars bundle, that even came with Halo 3 only to have sales drop and then respond with "Doing it's thing".

It may seem completely subjective but the point wasn't really to point out Halo Wars, but to show that people are wrong when they thing Killzone 2 bump that week wasn't impressive when it in fact really was.

PS3 never had a price cut in Europe, only the introduction of the 40GB model if I am not mistaken.

Also PS3 has in fact ONLY had 1 price cut, of $100 dollars, not $200 like many think.

The worrying thing about this week last year there was nothing out but this year PS3 fell below those numbers even with new bundles and a sort of price drop. You can pick up the KZ2 bundle and LBP for £269, that is a £30 ($60) price drop. With recent high profile games out and RE5 to come i guess it really does show how bad the recession is and how bad that is hitting Sony. This week last year the top PS3 game was Army of Two with 50k sold. How different a year makes hey?

No, the launch price tag was for a different model, the 40GB model is different. Sony never said it was a price cut, it's a cheaper model. If microsoft brought in a different model at a lower price would we call it a price cut? i doubt it.
