Oh great, we're getting the "You said it was teh saviour!" crap.

The only people saying KZ2 was a saviour of anything were the Microsoft fanboys. It's good to see they had so much faith in it

I assure you many, many PS3 fanboys called it the savior.

Still doing horrible

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Sony, the former face of gaming for two generations, is now dead last.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I'm sorry, who are you again?

I never even said I had a problem with Sony being in last, I am saying that 10k less in sales with no price drop since launching in EU+Others and being almost double the price is not considered "doing horrible".

Anyways, I really don't care.

this was SONY's plan after all right. Lets release our console for an outrageous price b/c ppl will still buy it. While it has worked just not anywhere where they expected to. They knew the price of the 360 already but instead of removing features before launch they expected to steam roll the 360. Now everyone uses price a price drop as a big saviour. SONY really didnt think they needed to drop the price so fast and still continue when they launched. Therefore, they are doing horrible no matter how u spin it.

Big drop for PS3 from last week...
Ouch.

Looks like Killzone2 won't be the savior.

Xbox360 steady.
Impressive.

Halo Wars released and no bump in HW sales.

Impressive.

Looks like you forgot when Halo was released. Still Steady sales for the 360. YOY increase impressive

PS3 YOY decrease, losing money and last = not soo impressive

It was released on the 27th of February. That week the 360 fell 10k.  And stayed there this week.  I understand that the halo brand isn't as big in the "others" as America, but selling less HW isn't impressive.

I would love to hear how you came up with that conclusion.

The way I see it.

Nearly double the price, only 10k less in sales.

How that equates to "sinking ship" though is beyond me.

Why don't you ask Factor 5 or Free Radical whether the PS3 is a sinking ship. Their PS3 exclusives sank the company. If only they would have developed Wii or even 360 games, they might still be in business today.

Also, look at the market share of Sony's platforms. The PS2 sold 120 million... nearly six times more than the Xbox or the Gamecube. Coming from an overwhelmingly dominant position to last among major consoles is not exactly encouraging to Sony, who expected people to get a second job just to afford their console.

All of this is obvious and should go without saying on this, a videogame sales website. I'm somewhat amazed that you're trying to deny reality in this way.

Nobody on a non-VGC site is reading what you are posting.

VGC has pretty much the lowest troll:intelligent member ratio. I get a headache from reading one thread on GameTrailers...

Let's hope for a price cut soon eh. Then we will see what happens. who knows, the ps3 could even start selling at the same level as the wii.

So if Haze and Lair, two horribly reviewed games, were multiplatform they would have then been huge financial successes?    I don't see how the PS3 can be blamed for two developers horribly overspending on poor quality games.  If they were two high-quality games that did not sell on the PS3, then you would have a valid point.

That would be equivalent of blaming the 360 for poor sales of Too Human.

@ Wiistation30, You are right, its not the PS3's fault that these games were pooly made.
