well, considering DoW2 deserves a 8-9/10 ... they dont know how to score a game ...

i honestly wish edge would go bankrupt.they are so useless and inconsistence in their reviews that it's not even funny.

They also gave The Witcher a 5/10, which was in my opinion easily the best RPG of 2007. However EDGE is one of the best magazines, if not the best, because they usually rate the games on a fair scale and do not seem to give favours to publishers.

With regard to a 7 for both RE5 and 50 Cent, I'm inclined to say "hey, it's Edge, what were you expecting?".

Resident Evil will sell regardless. I don't think going to be the AAA game that I hoped it would be, but I bet I'm going to enjoy it a lot.

I think that the gaming media is telling us what we want to hear, lately. If message boards say a game isn't an upper echelon title, then the scores are starting to reflect that. If we hype a game as the second coming of Jesus, Allah, and Buddha, we get scores that reflect that too.

So the Edge is ran by one guy? Or multiple people who have some kind of Borg hivemind?

That's why he said Edge+1. So Dawn of War II got an 8, so did Killzone 2 and RE5, MGS4 got a 9, and LBP got an 11.
