Again, you realize that most scientists believe in a monotheistic God, right? The two are not universally separate.

They do? Have you got any stats to back that up? I pretty sure that scientists are mostly atheists...

15? Higher then I thought.
I wouldn't of expected religion to increase usership though. I mean it's basically the "Microsoft" of religion.

"About two-thirds of scientists believe in God, according to a new survey that uncovered stark differences based on the type of research they do."

Of course believing in God and having no religion are two different things.
One person could believe in god but have no religion.

I've read through the link but, I'll not give it much credit untill I see the full statistics. Where were these researches conducted? What was the sample size? What sort of exact sciences where asked?
I'm sort of expecting here that antropologie and religious sciences where a large part of the social sciences sample size actually.
The Doctor will see you now
Promoting Lesbianism -->
if one 3rd of all scientists aren't religious that just shows the proportionally more scientists don't believe in god in comparison to the general population. Which doesn't surprise me.
Religion is outdated and has no place in the modern world. The sooner it disappears the better.

I don't believe that at all. They include social and political (what the fuck is that) sciences, which aren't really sciences at all.
Even so, this survey still shows that scientists are way more atheistic than the general population.

Shameless tag so I can find this easily at work. Also I wanted to post this yesterday but things kept popping up...
All I'm gonna say for now is this. How ironic is it that as the proliferation and ease-of-access to information is made easier and easier the number of religious people decreases?
Edit: (sracasm btw)

Their is very little that science cannot explain. Not too mention there is a complete lack of proof regarding the real world of any existence. The bible doesn't count because anyone could have made the stories in it. Just requires imagination.

"Whereas 90% of the general population has a distinct belief in a personal god and a life after death, only 40% of scientists on the B.S. level favor this belief in religion and merely 10 % of those who are considered 'eminent' scientists believe in a personal god or in an afterlife."
Contrary to the notion fostered by so-called 'creation-scientists', Albert Einstein did not believe in a personal god.
