The two are not universally separate.

 

They do? Have you got any stats to back that up? I pretty sure that scientists are mostly atheists...

Of course believing in God and having no religion are two different things.

One person could believe in god but have no religion.

I've read through the link but, I'll not give it much credit untill I see the full statistics. Where were these researches conducted? What was the sample size? What sort of exact sciences where asked?

I'm sort of expecting here that antropologie and religious sciences where a large part of the social sciences sample size actually.
