People are STILL going to be playing the heck out of Starcraft II, so I guess this would provide more of a addition for players.

Errr haven't all Bliz games been made to run on low end configs? I thought that was one of their primary goals with all their games, that everyone can enjoy it.

And yeah, I wouldn't trust blizzard to be on time for any of these dates...

Yes, my laptop was able to run WoW and I was surprised, but I had to run it at lower settings. This actually seems like it will work better for me than even WoW did. Major surprise. O.o

lol those requirements are amusing, I'd say they're the number 1 reason why this is innacurate.

It might be possible for 1 of either Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3 to fall before the end of the year, but given Blizzard's track record for crazy long development times, I doubt it.

arr sorry, that was just from experience, being a devoted fan since warcraft II. I'll redeem myself by saying that the Activision part should make it be more on time, isn't that part of why they split SCII into 3 games?

It doesn't matter WHEN Diablo 3 is released, it will sell millions and millions. Blizzard doesn't need the crutch "holiday sales" to destroy all others (Look at The Burning Crusade, it was released 2 weeks after new years and sold 2.4 mil 1st week).

As for the date, assuming they it is legit we must follow the following formula:

A = T + (6+(s*2))

Where A is the actual release date, T is the said release date and s is the amount of times they say "soon." All numbers are in months.

Blizzard's general response to potential release dates is "When it is done."

To pick a date 9 months from now, when development and testing is still ongoing, and most of the holiday shopping season would be over, does not make much sense to me. I doubt anyone at Blizzard knows an exact release date yet.

It doesn't matter when Blizzard releases a game, even at the end of a season. It will sell millions regardless. Again, BC was released a week and a half after new years' and it pushed 2.4 mil in day 1.
