It looks like there might be an announcement of a Wii version of Resident Evil: Code Veronica very soon.

Speaking in an interview over at Game Focus, Capcom product manager, Matt Dahlgren, answered a question about a Code Veronica fan eager for news by saying, "...if you are a fan of Code Veronica you should pay attention in the next couple of weeks there is some news you should be very pleased with. Tell him to pay attention on the 12th (March)."

March 12th, the day before Resident Evil 5 launches, is also the date of the RE5 launch event in San Francisco...

So what, exactly, does that have to do with the Wii? Well - for one Dahlgren said that a PSN/XBLA remake isn't in the works. For two, he also had something to say to Wii owners hungry for RE news - "I would say to those users that they should pay attention to the near future and there should be some announcements coming their way... that they should be pleased with."

I hope this isn't another port. If it is, I may get it, but it'll still be a huge disappointment for Wii owners.

I'll laugh my ass off if it turns out it's just a port since the announcement is hyped too much.

I still like you Capcom, make it an all-new game!

I may be wrong here, but as far as I know there wasn´t a huge difference between the Dreamcast and PS2/GC/Xbox, when it comes to graphics/processing power, things like that...so if it is indeed a CV remake I won´t get the same 'WOW' feeling I had when I played REmake for the GC (since the GC was a huge improvement over the PS1).

Good game, i got PS2 version... but seriously? Another REmake for Wii? Thats alllllllllllll we need -_-

If they are going to do more REmakes give us RE2 with the same total re do care as REmake on cube.

Capcom is sickening already. They should just re-release every RE game it seems that is what they want to do.

I have a better idea for Capcom. Why not re-release RE: Dead Aim for the Wii the controls are perfect for the Wii.

If this is a port then no thanks, I already have the Dreamcast version as well as the Gamecube port.

BUT, if this turns out to be a remake with updated graphics and RE4Wii controls, the it's a must buy for me.
