I can't really remember, I seem to recall it coming out of nowhere with no real hints. The person you expect to be the final boss... isn't.

 It's just 'God', I don't think you even get much build-up or character developement to him, he just appears and it's like "Oh, heres your final boss".

The final battle in the first Final Fantasy Legend on Gameboy, I mean the dude is GOD. Wait...I just thought we were naming all the instances where you kill God in an RPG.

Yeah, I considered all three, then eventually just went with Irenicus cause 2 is my favorite game

Saying ICO is overrated solidifies your stupidity, and condemns you to never be taken seriously again. Unless you change your mind, you will never have credibility among the (serious) gaming community for the rest of your life.

Of all the RPGs I've ever played, I've never seen a more epic and satisfying final boss battle than the one in Final Fantasy VI.

If that's not enough to convince you ... I have just one thing left to say about that: "Dancing Mad."
