Perhaps the PS3 may maintain a several month lead like last year, held most of 2008 and it started in January or February didnt it?

quality is never determined by sales. right now i'm listening to rick dee's american top 40 not bad stuff, but most of it isn't meaningful art like tom waits' music even though his music has probably never been on this show.

If you seriously believe that your living in insano world.  Qaulity is not always determined by sales, but it is very heavily influenced by it.  Not in just games, but everything.

Tom Waits is a legend whose songs will live for decades into the future even though he's probably never had a top 40 hit in almost 40 years as a recording artist. On the other hand, most of these top 40 hits on the radio tonight and their musicians will be forgotten by almost everyone within ten years' time.

I think you may be misunderstanding my point.  Quality does not always mean good sales, but without quality, good sales are a very rare thing.  Get it?  After re reading my post pointing towards you, I see it sounds sort of hostile and that was not meant to be the  case.  

Music in general is not as easy to judge as other things.  Something that sounds very good to me, may be an absolute turd to someone else.  It all depends on so many influences growing up, culturally etc.. 

At least these threads give us chance to spot the most crazy of fanboy posters. Rule number 1 I follow is anybody who uses the term xbot is instantly one.
