Forums - Gaming - Finally, which one is the best : Gears of war 2, Killzone 2 or maybe Halo 3

What you said makes sense when I think of the level of maturity at this site. It probably was simply a "who's exclusive shooters are better" thread. I guess I can answer that question though, since it's oh so original. The PS3's best exclusive shooter is Warhawk and the 360's is Gears of War 2. Warhawk is better. COD4 shits on all contenders though from where I'm standing. Bring on Modern Warfare 2 and then World at War 2.


You're the first person I've seen who claims Warhawk is better than Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, but hey, to each his own.

@starcraft: How exactly is Killzone 2 not in the same league as Halo, CoD and Gears? I would say it at least matches them in quality, and I personally think it's the best of the four (Gears being second, CoD4 third, and Halo 3 an awesome fourth)

Warhawk to me is a shooter stripped of everything shooters today are known for and managed to bottle the fun entirely while cutting all excess fat. I haven't played Resistance 2 at all and haven't played Killzone 2 outside of the demo, but I can say either would have a hell of a hard time taking Warhawk's place because they will always be in direct competition with a superior COD4(IMO) while Warhawk has managed to sidestep that by being a totally different animal.

Edit: He was responding to my comments, and I was talking about sales and popularity, which would push Killzone 2 far behind a three man list. Then again it also pushes Gears 2 out of it in favor of COD: World at War.

I havent played Gears but have played KZ2 & Halo 3 and I think KZ2 is way better in its MP!!!

hmmmm for consoles only out of the ones I played this gen

Killzone 2

Battlefield: Bad Company

COD4 =COD WAW (WAW is just COD 4.5 with WW2 theme)

Gears 2 & Resistance 2 (well Gears is better in MP but R2 is better in SP but they both are average to me I hate having to empty a whole clip before the dude drop !!!)



of course Bioshock S*its on all of them for it's brilliant Story and Experience but I don't include it with them cus it's not your typical MP focused Shooter

I also only played the first Halo once in a Network gaming arena I found pretty cool for it's time

i dont want to say killzone 2 just because im a PS fan but i have to
i liked halo 3's MP but didnt like SP... i got bored of the MP after a week
i liked gears 1 but i didnt like gears 2 or should i say gears 1.5
i liked killzone 2's SP and i love MP
so for me killzone 2 wins

Gears 2 best TPS. Killzone 2 = best graphics in console game this generation. Halo 3 = best online and game play in a FPS game which make up for its upscaled Halo 2 graphics.

To say a game is better due to solely its graphics it is not fair. The other game with weaker graphics could have better game play and better online making the game more fun and enjoyable.
