Finally, which one is the best : Gears of war 2, Killzone 2 or maybe Halo 3

I don't get the criteria being used to get this comparison. No matter how I slice it,  at least one of these games seems like an odd man out. I'm assuming this was meant to present the top three games generally refered to as "shooters" but then I wonder why Killzone 2 wasn't booted in favor of Call of Duty 4 and World at War, or at least them being in the mix considering they have just as much chance of being the best to someone as any of the other three that were mentioned.

 

I'm guessing it's because they're multiplat.

What you said makes sense when I think of the level of maturity at this site. It probably was simply a "who's exclusive shooters are better" thread. I guess I can answer that question though, since it's oh so original. The PS3's best exclusive shooter is Warhawk and the 360's is Gears of War 2. Warhawk is better. COD4 shits on all contenders though from where I'm standing. Bring on Modern Warfare 2 and then World at War 2.

 

You're the first person I've seen who claims Warhawk is better than Killzone 2 and Resistance 2, but hey, to each his own.

@starcraft: How exactly is Killzone 2 not in the same league as Halo, CoD and Gears? I would say it at least matches them in quality, and I personally think it's the best of the four (Gears being second, CoD4 third, and Halo 3 an awesome fourth)

Warhawk to me is a shooter stripped of everything shooters today are known for and managed to bottle the fun entirely while cutting all excess fat. I haven't played Resistance 2 at all and haven't played Killzone 2 outside of the demo, but I can say either would have a hell of a hard time taking Warhawk's place because they will always be in direct competition with a superior COD4(IMO) while Warhawk has managed to sidestep that by being a totally different animal.

Edit: He was responding to my comments, and I was talking about sales and popularity, which would push Killzone 2 far behind a three man list. Then again it also pushes Gears 2 out of it in favor of COD: World at War.
