best shooters this gen

1. Killzone 2
2. Call of Duty 4
3. Gears 2
4. Halo 3
5. Resistance 2

WOW...no love for Bioshock!!!!! damn!

I can't put it in my top 5 because I havn't beaten it yet, I am currently playing it and about half way through.  What I have played is pure brilliance though!

I don't get the criteria being used to get this comparison. No matter how I slice it,  at least one of these games seems like an odd man out. I'm assuming this was meant to present the top three games generally refered to as "shooters" but then I wonder why Killzone 2 wasn't booted in favor of Call of Duty 4 and World at War, or at least them being in the mix considering they have just as much chance of being the best to someone as any of the other three that were mentioned.

I'm guessing it's because they're multiplat.

What you said makes sense when I think of the level of maturity at this site. It probably was simply a "who's exclusive shooters are better" thread. I guess I can answer that question though, since it's oh so original. The PS3's best exclusive shooter is Warhawk and the 360's is Gears of War 2. Warhawk is better. COD4 shits on all contenders though from where I'm standing. Bring on Modern Warfare 2 and then World at War 2.

The comparison is, as someone already said, between Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and Call of Duty 4.

For me personally they go like this:

Gears of War 2
Call of Duty 4
Halo 3

By the most objective standard we have:

Halo 3/Call of Duty 4
Gears of War 2


People claiming nothing compares to Killzone 2 are correct in a way. Killzone 2 doesn't even make the league of these games.

Gears 2 doesn't make that league either. Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 are in a league of their own.

Sales-wise, you may just be right.

halo 1,2,3,the besh of the besh ... gears of war 1,2 sucks for me ,and kz2 is very low for my taste....
