Yes but it would be quite silly to think that Capcom's developing divisions are affected by the outcry of a few internet fanboys. (Although the RE5 Wii petition is at like 55,000 last I checked) But still same thing. Lost Planet on PS3 happened way before PS3 fans showed anger at support and same for whatever Capcom is planning for Wii. More than likely whatever they got for Wii has been in development since Umbrella Chronicles finished.
I'm cautiously optimistic. There's some stuff I'd definitely like to see but I'm worried that if it was a Wii version of RE5, it could turn out like Chop Till You Drop. Why is that game so mediocre anyway? I just hope if it somehow turned out to be RE5, it was at least the qaulity of RE4:Wii. I doubt though it will even be that game. I think another on rails shooter is likely.
I'll come up with something better eventually...
Oh Boy here comes Resident Evil 5+1 or Resident Evil 6
I hope to god its not an RE5 port or UC2. It needs to be RE2 remake or an original game.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."
I'll take an original RE designed from the ground up for the Wii, please.

| Time to put 2+2 together. Capcom marketing man Matt Dahlgren has been giving interviews today. Giving interviews and dropping hints about a new Code Veronica game on the Wii.
First, let's look at how Dahlgren winds up his interview with Game Focus:
Awfully specific. He's just as specific in an interview with Joystiq, saying in response to a query as to why there's no Wii version of Resident Evil 5 "That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon." Is it too much of a stretch to believe we'll be seeing a new Code Veronica game on the Wii announced on March 12? Or, knowing Capcom, a remake of the GameCube version? |
This sounds like Capcom to me.

"That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon."
Maybe he means that when review scores start coming out, Wii owners will be happy they were spared this poor excuse for a RE game?
