I remember reading that the Wii bubble is a multi-bubble. When one of them bursts you only have more 60000 to go.
Lets not forget that the logic leading gamers and share holders are totally different. Guys like FishyJoe buy stock now and wait 5 years to sell them (for great profit). Gamers do not buy a a U$ 500+ console now to play in 5 years.

This chart makes it a little more clear where stock holder sentiment lies.
Actually, Fishy should be worried if people follow this advice. A large number of people selling the stock will actually cost him money. At least in the short term, but provided Nintendo doesn't hit a stumbling block, I imagine it'll just recover, and if he believes that, all he has to do is buy more stock as it gets lower to make more profit.
Ultimately, it's a guessing game on the randomness of other people, but if you're good, you make ze money.

Ouch!
speaking of share slides, according to the article, it's 16% slip since jul 26. let's look at the shares traded on the US market:
NTDOY: jul 26: $62. Today: $57.5. Drop: 7.3%.
SNE (Sony): jul 26: $51.36. Today: $46.11. Drop: 10.2%.
the Wii is an epidemic.

WTF does that have to do with MS or Sony gaining ground? Because Nintendos shares slide doesn't mean dik.

Kinda like how Nintendo is, at least report, the 5th largest comapny in Japan by market capitalization and Sony is just sitting outside the top 10. At the rate presnted int he last report, it will be number 3 right now and Sony would be unchanged. Great for shareholders but means little for the actual console race.
Some gamers just don't know how to separate the consumer side from the business side of things.
The rEVOLution is not being televised
good article...stayed mostly neutral. nintendo cant get cocky. look what happened to sony. what goes up must come down....and then come up again. i dont think we have heard the last of sony tho.
