I started playing this game rather recently on the recomendation of a friend.

And I must say, this game is a must have/must play. It's available for PS2, Xbox and Gamecube so I imagine pretty well anyone here has a console that can play it.

If you haven't played it, grab it.

If you've played it, and know of other games that are like it, as good/better.  Then please post them here.

The only games I can think of that compare to it are God of War I and II.

I personally think that this game was horribly overrated, simply due to the fact that the combat was downright atrocious. The atmosphere was awesome, voice acting was pretty good, story was good, graphics were fine. The gameplay, when not in combat (running on walls and all that) was very well done and felt exhilirating. But the combat was probably the worst I've ever experienced.

Partly why I believe the sequels to be superior - Their combat wasn't amazing, but atleast it didn't make me want to rip off my face.

it is my favorite in the POP series and one of the best games of last gen, i didn't enjoy the sequels much though.

one of my favorite games of all time, this game alone revived my faith in gaming.

I loved the first. It was one of my favorite games last gen. The combat, platforming, story everything was very well done.

Warrior Within to me was terrible. From the emo makeover, to the rock music, I don't know where to begin. I know others liked it but I was not one of those. The third entry (Two Thrones) was decent but still not as good as the first.

I haven't played the most recent. I heard it's dumbed down a lot which is sad but Sands of Time is still one of the best games last gen.

PoP was one of my favorite series last gen. i really liked the new one too, except the fights got kind of boring and repetative. the platforming is always top notch though and that is what these games are really about
