what!! Nintendo saved Square, without them there would be no SquareEnix, only Enix. Then they turned and ran to Sony, which they are doing the same now with Microsoft. History is repeating itself here, only they aren't moving to the console leader, just the company willing to pay the most.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

The reason they were with Sony in the first place was profit and the use of the CD/DVD format with Sony. There is no more reason for SE to stay exclusive. Hand that fed them? No...when they were with Sony it was a smart business venture, now that they are multiplat it was inevitable.

   Square and Enix made Sony's platforms successfull in Japan. Check the top 5 PSone and PS2 titles there. Sony has made a shitload of profits thanks to FFVII. There is nothing these companies owe each other.

so your saying SE is racking in the big bucks now with MS.......sure

 You must be young or you would know Square got big with the NES and SNES then they stabbed Nintendo in the back and jumped ship to the PS1. The whole Final Fantasy on Xbox thing is ironic for this reason.

As for Mass Effect: Wow what an amazing game. But it's main story takes 4-10 hours to finish compared to 40-60 hours for your typical Final Fantasy game. Different beasts entirely.

Count the DLC in Mass Effect and you have nearly 30 hours of gameplay in all.

P.S Couldnt you all just fkn start to ignore SE already? They will continue their support for 360, they said it, confirmed it, they want it. Deal with it. Find something else to play.

 

You most definitely are one of those people who cannot help but talk out your arse and start a shitstorm with your sly comments.

JRPG should go on the Wii or be HD multi-plat, clearly the 360 JRPG sales are simply not cutting it. The drop for SO4 in Japan was amazing, multi-plat would have ensured that the PS3 took care of Japan sales and 360 would have taken care of NA and EU sales.

800 MS points. Not much. You're looking for reasons. It's still apart of the game and if it exists you have to accept it. Otherwise you're just being ignorant. The extra storyline in ME comes in the newer platinum hits versions of the game I believe.
