I know Amazon is in no way an accurate representation of video game sales data, however, I just noticed that currently Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is the No. 1 seller. What happened here?

A week or so ago it was in the 400's. The price is the same and it isn't being bundled with anything, and it's had a huge jump. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

this. There are some other great deals on there too, but deal of the day usually gets top spot so long as it isn't a garbage game.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Amazon sold it for $20 yesterday. It was their deal of the day. They were dumping stock.

"The Rare-developed vehicular platformer—which we thought was decent if a bit dull—is Amazon's video game Deal of the Day, a measly $19.99. Not bad for a game that's a mere fourth months old. Good thing the holiday season has passed and all those games that were overlooked last quarter are collecting dust, eh?"

Oh. I see. Today it's at regular price though, so I'm surprised to still see it that high.

Takes a while for these things to drop off, usually. I'm really not at all sure how those Amazon rankings work.

I read something explaining how Amazon calculates it's sales rankings once, but can't remember any of it. =P

Just that there's some sort of scoring system based on how much is sold in what time period, and that score will deteriorate with time. That's why you'll see WiiFit or the Wii constantly near the top even though it's usually sold out. Because of that price cut, discounted, or deal items usally jump up the chart because of a lot of loyal Amazon customers buy them right away, and then they quickly sink off because few other people were interested.

go banjo this should raise the sales if only a little bit :)

btw u should have named the title banjo kills killzone or something like that :)
