I'm pretty sure that's what they do.  Remember GTAIV?  They had both April and May hardware sales for the ps3 and 360 lower than March hardware sales.  Our data, as well as just about every other data you could find (including anecdotal evidence from retailers like that from my store) said otherwise.

I didnt listen to the podcast. I just read a summary at www.nintendoeverything.com

They have 1,500 written, so im not sure if its just a typo or not.

Interesting. Again, this doesn't prove that NPD sucks, or that VGChartz is better than NPD. it only shows that both sources can be wrong, as VGChartz has even less sales than NPD




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

based on shipment figures, no, unless both VGChartz and NPD were off on November sales.

Indeed, I noticed that too, but would just go to show that no one is the end all be all but all data should be looked at the same light, thay're very educated guesses :P
