Forums - Nintendo - Did I just purchase a Wii?

Metroid Prime 3
Mario Galaxy
Twilight Princess
No More Heroes
Super Paper Mario
Mario Kart Wii
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
....

Wow the list really goes on, but that's a good starting list. :P It really depends on what type of games you enjoy playing.

Around the Network

No More Heroes
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
de Blob
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Metroid Prime 3
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Wario Land: Shake It
Trauma Center: New Blood (and Second Opinion)
Tenchu 4, Deadly Creatures (though I haven't played them)

upcoming-
MadWorld, next week
The Conduit
Little King's Story
Arc Rise Fantasia
Oboro Muramasa

just to name a few.

It depends. What genres do you like?

If you like 3rd person melee, definitely get No More Heroes. I think it's the best game in the genre, thanks to really fun controls. It's also hilarious the whole way through and has more personality than most new games.

If you like 2-D run and guns, get Metal Slug Anthology. If it wasn't for the Orange Box, this would be the best deal in gaming.

If you like 4-player 2-D fighting with platforming elements, items, and stage editing, get Brawl.

If you like 3-D platforming, get Galaxy. It's the best.

And I always highly recommend Elebits, because it's a cross between Katamari and Ghostbusters. Elebits and Metal Slug Anthology were launch titles and should be super cheap by now.

Need to know what games you like to tailor my recs, but you can never go wrong with Brawl, Galaxy, and Corruption, amongst many others.

Zak and Wiki is amazing (and very cheap), but you have to like point-n-clicks AND puzzlers to enjoy it, as it's a mash-up of both.

Tons of folks like No More Heroes but I, sadly, am not amongst them. Still, if you're into beat-em-ups, it SHOULD satsify you.

So, tell us what you like/play (genres AND favorite individual games), as well as what type of gaming you're interested in (pick-up-and-play? Long+epic? Single-player? Two-player co-op? Online competitive? Four player multi? With the family? Etc.). ALL of these can be accomodated by now, but we need to know what you're looking for to send you the right way.

forget all the games everyone mentioned here and go buy mad world next tuesday!

then have sex....i mean play with Mario Galaxy!

Not a big fighting fan so Brawl doesn't look too appealing. I do like hack'n'slash games, also JRPGs and games like Lego Indiana Jones are high on the list too.

I edited a second question in my last post (you likely missed it), so if you could answer that it would help more, but based on what we have so far...

No More Heroes will likely work for you, and the Lego games are a no-brainer. Tales is the best new JRPG on the system right now, but the Wii's library in that area is huge when you consider the Virtual Console: many of the greatest JRPGs ever made can be found there. Secret of Mana, Ys, all of the Zeldas, Act Raiser, Mario RPG, Paper Mario, Shining Force, and above all else OGRE BATTLE...all must be played.

Definitely MadWorld next Week. Metroid Prime 3 and Okami are great. House of the Dead is great =D
I liked NMH, but can never understand why people claim it be this fantastic game. It was good, that's it.

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

On-line coop games are also welcome but I don't know how the Wii network handles online matches. Don't they require a friend code to have a match, not with total strangers?

The House of the dead overkill is great, if your into light gun shooters. If not wait next week for madworld , thats going to be big.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.
