Gravity Gun. Half Life 2.

I'm gonna riff on this and say the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device from Valve's upcoming game, Portal.  Also, all of the weapons from Serious Sam.

seriously the super shot gun in doom 2, nothing else comes close to it's versatility, near unlimited ammo, and enough power to put down all but the strongest enemies in 1 hit, basically once it's found there is no reason to use another weapon unless in a rare instance were you run out of ammon

but I don't get what people see in the gravity gun, anything can be a weapons especially the giant saw blades every were, why are they there so the gravity gun can be used for throwing more then cardboard boxes?

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pssh...the Aperture Science department clearly stole their design from Eli.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

i dont remember an LSD gun in perfect dark?...was that its real name or was it called something else?.... oh wait i do remember a dart-gun thing that made everything blurry now . yeah that was cool, but i remember the farsight much better. it was irritating at times but when you shoot a few people from really far away with walls inbetween its really satisfying.

laptop-gun as well from PD[but it wasn't in goldeneye]

from goldeneye; double shotguns... not the one you get to use in the main game but with the all weapons cheat on, they sounded really wrong, but i liked the sound for some reason.
RCP-90....80 round capacity, come on.

In the best EA game i ever played:- "the world is not enough" the sentinel missile launcher was good, twas the first time in a game i got to control the path of a projectile.

timesplitters2 - the sniper rifle from the first mission... once i changed the controls in the menu screen this was the best sniper ever, really easy to control.

oh, from goldeneye again... the soviet, it doesnt do anything spectacular but its still the most memorable goldeneye gun... also the equivalent in TS2 with the grenades as a secondary.

oh and once again TS2 with the minigun. i mean 400 round capacity and as long as you dont run out, no need to reload.

wow... ive really only liked 3 fps games.

Grenades: goldeneye rogue agent.

Yes i know most people think this game is crap, but bloody hell! if you know how to use grenades in multiplayer then...well lets put it this way: i was playing with three other people and we started a game and within ten seconds we were all dead thanks to grenades. I've never laughed so hard at an FPS before.

Rocket Launcher : UT2004 PC

I could whip this baby out in .2 seconds and have a missle in the air soon as I seen a vehicle! you could guide the missle afterwards, making it at times a fire-aim rather then an aim-fire weapon. It somehow managed to stay non cheesy in UT2004 with its slow reload and relatively slow first portion of the missles flight.

Fighting a manta or raptor in a man vs machine, 1v1, type showdown with this rocket launcher are some of strongest, most adrenaline rush filled memories in video games for imo.

runner up : Flak Cannon : Unreal Tournament 2004 PC

honorable mention : Cerebral Bore : Turok 2 : N64

Gravity Gun...

Perfect Dark - Laptop Gun is a definite mention. Loved that thing.

Perfect Dark - Boost pill, one of the first instances of Matrix-esque slow motion. If you took the boost pill, the entire level slowed down, enemies, teammates, bullets, everything for about 15 seconds. And it was awesome.

Goldeneye - I was never a big fan of proximity mines (set it and forget it). I preferred remote mines myself.

Turok 2 - Cerebral bore. No explanation needed.

Doom - BFG 9000. Eliminate all enemies on screen. Beautiful.

Edit: Wolfenstein 3-D Doom - The original Chainsaw (I was remembering chainsawing in a wolfenstein level, which actually was hidden in Doom 2, hah)

Id have to say the HL2 Gravity Gun. It makes everything in the environment, including other people into a new toy, and no other weapon really does that.

PS360 ftw!

Currently playing..........

Gears of War 2, GTA IV Lost and Damned, Little Big Planet (Yes I said I had no interest but my girl wanted to try it and we did and now Im hooked )

Dual RCP-90's. Nuff Said...

Do your homework ;)
